The film is being produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra starring Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor. Milkha Singh has sold the story for just one rupee. The remuneration from movie will be used for the benefit of needy athletes. The name of the movie comes from the last words spoken by his father, which was to save his life during the riots of Partition of India. During the partition, Milkha lost his family members. The story talks about his perseverance as an athlete and also as a courageous human spirit
